Willimantic Renaissance, Inc., a 501c(3) Non-Profit Corporation, was formed in 2002 as a grassroots organization to revitalize downtown Willimantic by using the arts to enhance diversity, build community and attract consumers.

Our Mission:

• To distinguish Main Street as a regional arts, entertainment, and shopping focal point which will promote Main Street merchants, businesses and area artists, and promote downtown as a community space.
• To provide an economic engine for the local economy which will promote local business.
• To periodically bring together the entire area in a festive community-based event that will promote diversity, understanding and tolerance, and promote community pride.
