S.T.E.P.S, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization in empowering young women through mentorship, education, and support programs. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations, including financial operations, program expansion, fundraising initiatives, strategic planning, staff/volunteer management, community engagement, vendor management and board relations. Responsibilities: 1. Financial Operations: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, grant writing/reporting, and securing donations to ensure the financial stability and growth of the organization. 2. Program Expansion: Strategically expand the reach of S.T.E.P.S.’ programs beyond the local area to reach more young women in need, utilizing innovative approaches and partnerships. 3. Fundraising Initiatives: Create and implement effective fundraising programs and events to support the organization's mission and initiatives, cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors. 4. Strategic Planning: Design, develop, and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans in alignment with the organization's mission and goals, fostering sustainable growth and impact. 5. Staff/Volunteer Management: Recruit, hire, manage, and retain a diverse team of employees and qualified volunteers who are passionate about supporting and mentoring young women, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance. 6. Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness of S.T.E.P.S. in the community, forging partnerships and collaborations to expand services and reach more young women in need. 7. Vendor Management: Manage and maintain relationships with outsourced service providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that align with the organization's standards and objectives. 8. Board Relations: Develop and maintain a productive relationship with the Board of Directors, providing regular updates, strategic guidance, and leveraging their expertise and networks to advance the organization's mission. Qualifications: ● Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred). ● Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit management, with a focus on youth development, education, or similar areas. ● Proven track record of successful fundraising, grant writing, and financial management. ● Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, donors, and stakeholders. ● Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. ● Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative programs and initiatives. ● Knowledge of best practices in youth development, mentorship, and education. ● Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles. ● Passion for empowering young women and making a positive impact in their lives.
